The Greater Milwaukee Foundation celebrated its centennial year in 2016 by partnering with its regional affiliates to create lasting projects for people in the community to enjoy. In honor of its 100th year of service, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation provided a special gift of $200,000 to enhance a public space in West Bend that is important to us all which was the complete renovation of Old Settler’s Park.
Old Settlers Park was re imagined in 2016 as a lasting gift to our community from the West Bend Community Foundation in partnership with the City of West Bend, and made possible by a gift from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation as it celebrated 100 years of strengthening communities.
The WBCF was founded in 1999 by Cliff Nelson and Doug Ziegler to serve the needs of the community in perpetuity. The Foundation continues to grow through the generosity of individual donors and local foundations who support the vitality of the West Bend area now and for the future.
